    It might even not be this year.
    it’s really moronic that these countries care so much about a virus that at most has 2% death rate on people above 65 when their people are dying from malnutrition.
    Don’t worry folks, absolutely no one will die from covid, so at least 30 million people starve, not go to school and no prospects for a decent future.

  11. Since most people say 2022 for international travel, I’ll say mid 2021 with quarantine and other safety guidelines in place. Let’s hope 4 the best 🙂

  12. Maayong Buntag from Wales again Gio.
    Pfizer vaccine is nearly 30 bucks a shot with 2 shots needed, oxford astrazeneca is 3 bucks a shot with 2 shots needed.
    Both have around the same efficacy of around 90-95%.
    Due to the costs involved with around 250 million shots needed altogether for the philippines, i really think that you’ll be getting the oxford astra vaccine mainly.
    US govt have not OK’D it yet but the uk govt have.
    I thought it would be 2021 in the final few months that PH would open up again but a few months ago when the new variants started appearing i.e. UK, SA and Nigerian strains., is tarted thinking 2022 maybe, if we’re lucky! Now we have a Brazilian strain also.

  19. Thailand is relying on sinovac, apparently the richest Thai guy holds 15% stake in the Chinese pharma company making sinovac. But a local Thai company is making the UK vaccine, it will take time. I think when Thailand finds a solution, Philippines will be a year behind it following it.

  22. Thanks for keeping us informed as always Gio. I would take the US vaccine in a heartbeat. Not the Chinese. I can under locking down the Manila area but not the rest of the Philippines. They will differently have to open up domestic tourism before they are going to open International.

  25. In the UK less than 400 people under the age of 65 have died , I expect these people had Health problems , average age of death is 82 in the UK…

    UK has a vaccination programme, and has vaccinated millions , we are expecting by summer the UK will have covid under control ,

    Tomorrow we should find out about extensions or not. I’m sure a lot of people are watching to find out if they can get back in. For the visa, your supposed to have a itinerary. That is impossible. Luckily the embassy is run by humans. Filipino humans. Which is a good thing. All this itemized stuff in America drives me crazy.

  33. Don’t be suckered into believing the crime against humanity. Governments are using “tests” of people who don’t drop dead or require intensive hospital care, in order to justify keeping healthy people under house arrest. It’s obscene.

    WHY DO WE “NEED” AN EXPERIMENTAL “VACCINE” FOR SOMETHING WITH A 99% SURVIVAL RATE, AND FOR WHICH IVERMECTIN CAN TREAT?

It’s completely shit….mutations can occur anywhere…..even the new mutation is not dangerous, it only spreads faster….the Philippines should stop acting like a child and should start vaccinating people…I’m a 9f visa holder…I lost my studies because I stuck in India…everywhere in world including my country “ India” already started vaccination and even India didn’t stoped flights from United Kingdom… Philippines government acting like a child…..no one wants to visit the Philippines for tourism… they only travel to do their jobs, and to study and to see their loved ones…..Philippines should stop banning the countries and should vaccinate the population and should allow us in.

  38. I always see the new variant that was detected in the UK being mentioned but it’s worth noting that different variants have also been detected in South Africa and more recently in Brazil. I wonder if the new variant in Brazil has had any bearing on the Sinovac results. I’m fortunate in that I’m in the UK and the vaccines approved from use here are the Pfizer, Oxford/Astra Zeneca & Moderna vaccines so I don’t need to worry about being given the Sinovac vaccine. I’d certainly be thinking twice about it if that was what was being offered here.

  39. I get my first vaccine January 19 then the second one 21 days or 28 days later insurance will pay for it people without insurance taxpayers will pay for it Hope to be in the Philippines, April but not looking too good

  40. There is an article out 8 hours ago saying that Philippines looking at international travel bubble to spark international tourism. Maybe this is a little bit of good news. The article was from Travel Daily
