When it’s hot and you don’t feel like visiting your usual hangout.. it’s time to get random. 🙂
So true! I spent 2.5 Months in the Philippines. Went to the North to Ilocos and south to Bicol! It was the best!! Loved all of it!! Will go back next year! Love to explore the Philippines!!
Have ticket, will travel. Arriving Sept 2 at Cebu. Then down to Dumaguete, see ya.
Awesome, I look forward to seeing you. PM me when you’re in-country and I’ll give you my text #.
If you wear green clothing it debunks the whole deal. It kinda looks right through your clothes….lol
People make the weirdest comments as you no. I’m glad your in Dumaguete , cause that’s the place I’m coming too. So it’s great to see everything your showing and get your prospective on things . Thanks for all you do .
Don’t feed the trolls!
lol bluescreen 😀 Wandering gypsies don’t use bluescreens. I notice the colours pop very nicely on that new camera
Don’t lie Reekay the background is CGI tell everyone the truth, you are broadcasting from a moon base.. AREN’T YOU !…(adjusts foil hat and anxiously awaits reply)
I can’t believe that someone would think that you are faking being in the Phillipines.
Little off topic here Henry, but why don’t you do a video on how to
buy a vehicle–like a scooter, and all the things you ask for, so you
don’t get screwed. I know when you bought yours, you had a real big
problem. I think you didn’t get the registration or something?? So if
you could–I’d like to see a video on a step by step process on how
to buy a vehicle–especially privately, and all the things you should ask
for, so you know you won’t have any problems-thanks-Grant (also include dealing with a dealership–is it safer ?? or same thing)
Good idea, I’ll add that to the cue. 🙂
Get lost to find something… – – – A very Good advice… – – – Thank You and Best Regards from Stockholm Sweden
gracias senior muy bien video.. magaling ka saludos desde Filipinas..

Right on Henry. Perfectly said! I would add that the reason you want to stay active is to stay healthy as long as possible. The whole idea is NOT to nut-up and have to return home due to serious medical reasons.
Yeah, the locals think I’m insane as I go for my daily walk in the heat. But sweating and getting your heartrate up keeps you from blowing up like a balloon. Controlling your weight is the basis for good health, of course. So I wave and smile at the locals as I walk by.
God Bless, everyone!
You probably would NOT want to go too far south, PERIOD! 🙂
Take care and be safe…
@LifeBeyondTheSea – Philippines Bro you don’t worry about getting kidnaped or robed their or getting sick by eating the street food is Mindanao a bad place for Americans to go and do like you do bro ?
Yah.. I know others choose otherwise, but I choose to stay north of Mindanao myself. 🙂
Love this video. Like Nike said “Just Do It” … I couldn’t agree with you more. However, I’m not buying your story about the blue screen. I’ve known all along that there’s something strange going on here and it’s quite apparent that you’re a member of the Illuminati lizard people and Freemasons. You can’t fool me … ha!
Come to the dark side.. we have nice beaches. 🙂
there is a noodle stand in west bahak bahak olongapo city that is to die for!!!! so if you ever find yourself in Olongapo city subic bay check it out!!!
I think that many of these points are valid for all Expat life as well as here in Chile. Good vid. Go see the country and what is available.
People are so weird and funny. After a while It might just be best just say hi and as my wife would say to “entertain” them. I think you have the biggest conspiracy theory of traveling through the Philippines to be a self proclaimed wandering gypsy…!!! Keep on keeping on! Have fun and be safe! Always wishing the best of good things, trek and memories.
That’s good…:) smiling and agreeing. There are too many people that are upto no good. I like the saying, :an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. Enjoy the weather. Here its been CRAZY. Cold, foggy, rainy one day then warm, sunny and humid the next..
I try to give very brief answers that are honest.. but vague. It becomes something of a game. 🙂 Often when they ask, “Where do you live?”, I will point and say, “Over there.. way over there.”
hi, Henry
I know you are not a information office but maybe someone can tell me.I like to know how get a sailboat yacht registration because I dream to build myself a sailboat in the Philippine and get the flag and number registration.. is intresting as the car or motorbike registration I love fishing and go around by boat. maybe someone know how to do it registration costs ,,,, thanks bye…
ok
thank you Henry
I don’t know anything about boats or registration, but maybe someone else here does. Or, you can post the question at my forum at; http://lifebeyondthesea.com/lbtsea-forum/
Good job on the video….As always, you are easy to listen to.
I was wondering what you found was the best way to get money from the USA.
Do you use an ATM? If so..are the fees very high?
Western Union?
Xoom?
When i send money to the philippines, i usually use Xoom. It is cheaper than WU. I was wondering when I move there in January, what will be the most cost-effective way will be to send money to myself.
Keep up the good work!
i tried that a few years ago while in the philippines, and Xoom cancelled my account immediately and refused to tell me why did they did so. It took 2 months of arguing with them to get my account reinstated. I do send money to a girlfriend via Xoom, but I am worried the same thing will happen again if I try to send money to myself again.
Just a quick correction, for 4.99 you can send $3000 “in pesos” to yourself…which Xoom takes a 2% exchange rate benefit on when they convert it.
Hi henry would you have any idea how to import your own motorcycle into the country? I have a triumph I would like to bring with me. I’m planning on applying for a retirement visa. Thanks for all the good info. and advice.
Wonderful advice to all those who travel the world and see nothing!!! I love Dumaguete and yes, I was lucky to find a pair of locals who introduced me to the nameless back street places to where the Philippinos eat and meet thank you
zensun, street food is great and a lot more hygenic than in some resteraunts in the UK, they wear plastic bags on their hands new each customer/serving, but like most places look at conditions b4 u buy lol
best places there Henry the twin lakes, well worth a visit, red rock falls, has hot springs just before it, towards Valencia
Those are on my list. It’s been rain here for a week and more rain on the way. 🙁
Why Philippines? not Malaysia, , Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore or Taiwan, which are a ball throw from each other? Just curious to know. I know Philippines is cheap , girls, weather, more bang for your buck and also spanish influence. Are those your reasons?
Cambodia and Thailand are actually cheaper than the PH, but I originally came here because I met a Filipina in California and 2 years later moved out here to be closer to her. (we’re still friends but, it didn’t work out). However the other obstacle (for me) was that the other countries did not have English prevalent in society, the way the PH does. Infrastructure is better in other countries, so it’s all a trade-off on what is most important to you.
Hahahahaha green screen .. so funny why would people think that hahaha so funny
Haha yeah.. Sad but true
@Tom Køster everything is a conspiracy to some people. ha!
That´s also my own way. Exploring so much I can, bouncing around, some months there, some months here, open mindend.
So simply: Collecting moments, not collecting things.
A trip to Laos, Vietnam and Kambodia would be an Idea (for Visa running), and also Palawan, even Filipinos call it their “Last Paradise”.
@Jean Hougron i’m hoping to visit palawan or boracay before the end of this year. have heard much about it.
Just loved the video – wish I was there. Be prepared for a power outage. Hopw my post is helpful.
Recover Power seconds after you Lose it.
Nearly every community in the US is subject to some kind of natural disaster: tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, mudslides, heavy snowstorms and earthquakes.
Blackouts can cause a great deal of inconvenience – perishable foods go bad, sump pumps and water heaters are useless, heating and cooling systems are no more, basements may flood, frozen pipes could burst, needed items like cell phones and laptops cannot be charged and on and on.
From companies who need backup power to individuals fearful of a zombie apocalypse or world disaster, we must actively prepare to survive. Be ready when disaster strikes.

I don’t mean to offend you, but did you know that whenever you are in your last breath of air when talking you tend to sound like Kermit the Frog? hehehe =D
Sorry, I just had to say it, I have been holding it for quite sometime. =D
Totally agree. . Shake it up, so much to explore. To change your view causes you to keep the mind active instead of the same 4 walls or whatever have you. Be an astronaut or be an astronomer? Keep safe ~P
Do they have like a tourist info office to ask about the thing to see in the area? Is something like yelp available there?
