Something different there Rod, as always, a very eloquent and considered narration. Your videos always cause me a certain homesickness for my home on Cebu.
Well done my friend, take care and enjoy. Bob. NZ.
Yes == There is light at the end of the tunnel . But im not positive its not a train. For me this has been hard times. If not for my family I would leave. But leave to where!!!
I think I’ve actually passed through the 5 stages of grief and loss as I’ve dealt with this lockdown:
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression, and finally…
5. Acceptance
I’m at the point where I am just being patient without any concrete expectations or plans until things clearly improve. I’m looking forward to exploring other parts of the Philippines aside from Talisay/Cebu City. And I just remind myself that whatever business I have to attend to back in Chicago can wait. In the meantime, I’m enjoying your videos as always. They have a grounding/calming effect. Thanks.
Beautiful video, BTW!
thanks for the video. be positive and well said my friend but dont forget “damn china”. the world has been suffering because of chinese. hope the phil will not EVER let chinese into the country or elsewhere. cheers.
Salamat Rod! Locked down on my island too! Getting stir crazy a bit. At least no age restrictions here. I’m 63. We go out on drives, to the beach, and parks, do some picnics with relatives…
But I sure do miss flying..
You’re doing good Rod! See you in Philippines next year!
As long as people still want to travel, there is prospect for the travel industry to rebound. The world will not stay in lockdown forever……Cheers to all !!!!!
Thanks Rod. It’s nice to see there again, even if I can’t be there again. It’s been a difficult and frustrating year for us all, and I think we will all appreciate things much more than we did before, when some degree of normality returns. I hope that I can escape the cold UK winter as I usually do. I dread the day that I can’t travel any more. Thanks for the uplifting video to raise spirits, Many of us needed it I think.
You showed my dream Rod, a nice, white sand beach on Bohol, a couple of coconut trees and me and my cat, being a beach bum, fishing, snorkeling, maybe some scuba diving… a scooter for when I want to go somewhere and be sociable, the rest of the time, peace and solitude. Got a lot of years of rat race to wind down from. I’ve waited this long to get there, I guess another year won’t kill me. Thanks for refreshing my mind’s eye view. Stay well.

Gas is not cheap in this country. Two hundred pesos was more than fair.
