  1. She looks pretty despondent…would it be ok to give her half the litter from the other sow that delivered the same day, would think could be a benefit to all the piglets as they would a get lots of milk , five piglets each pig.

  2. If you make a small cage 1ftx 1ft x1ft no top and 4 legs that go into rice hulls you could put the runts in while the learn how to suck to keep the others off. Use 1/4 rebar close together. Kinda like a u shaped box with end open at sow. Just thinking

  3. A serious pregnancy complication in which the placenta detaches from the womb (uterus).
Placental abruption occurs when the placenta detaches from the inner wall of the womb before delivery. The condition can deprive the baby of oxygen and nutrients.
We see this in hospital too partial Abruption aren unheard of either. Poor ol petunia. Sad and a costly loss as well.

  4. Awww, so very sorry 😪 Hoping your plan will work out and she will be a good surrogate Mama to some of the other piglets 🤔 Brian, I agree with you … animals definitely can, and do, experience depression, sadness, anxiety, just like us … we’ve seen that first-hand with the Nervous-Singing Pig. Poor Sweet Petunia 💜 Hoping things work out and she can fill that void of loss and be a Mama to some of the babies who need one most.
