Hey chuck…my wife says your saying mustache not massage, doomass. Now if you want to see something real funny is me trying to say it right…failure. have Paige say mustache and massage for the next word of the day.
Wow!! Is it just me or I kind of like your hometown better than Koh Chang. It’s beautiful, charming, seems like a lot of friendly locals, not too crowded, clean air & nice panoramic view. I’m surprised that not any little fishing boats, canoe or kayaker. 1st thing I would do if I were to retire there in 5 yrs: buy a nice mountain bike, kayak and kite surfing. I’m getting too old for the Big Island’s surfs & jagged volcanic rocks & things are so expensive here n the highest in all 50 States & struggling to make it as a tennis instructor & online teacher. In your town, I would be hanging out at the Riverside or Cafe there every day & wouldn’t get bored and easy access to Laos and my other worse half, Cambodia…Ahh… the Khmer people… Chuck/Paige, now I see why you both fell in love & made that your home-base. Compare that to Houston?! And Galveston Beach for weekend’s getaway??!! Whoopy…
I grew up in a house in W 43rd St in Houston too, and all I can do as a kid was bike to West TC Jester Bayou & possibly get mugged just b/c I can, or for just being Asian-American. And, I don’t have to wait till the weekends to hear gun shots, that usually come as early as Wednesday or Thursday’s nights from Antoine St & 43rd… from the apartments areas. (Whew)… Sooo glad I made out of that part of Houston alive & well. You have no ideas how many of my Scarborough HS classmates are in Jail. Can’t blame my parents on that one, we were poor immigrants & my parents bought that house in 1983 & all they can afford. I left to travel the world in 2005 & never been back yet and “NEVER” missed it. After that, strictly a West Coast, Hawaiian Islands & SE Asia kind of guy. Love your town Chuck & Paige!
When I was in Thailand in August I bought 4 lottery tickets for my then girlfriends (we’ve since broken up) mother. She won 3000 baht and was over the moon excited! Congrats Chuck on your win!
The hotel I stayed at in Bang Bon, Bangkok was right next to a police station and they played the Thai national anthem every morning too. Woke me up every day, but I liked the sentiment behind the music. Every morning I would walk down to the market, buy our food and then make merit with the monks.
I hate coming in contact on side soi’s with soi dogs always uncomfortable situation not sure what the dogs are going to do.. it seems as if you hesitated to walk by them as well. always best to play it smart… L.A Rob
The first national lottery in Australia was called the “Pools” and the numbers were based on the soccer matches in England The winning numbers were based on the scored draws. My father won the first prize 40 years ago. Unfortunately, that week there were many many scored draws and he got about $350 instead of the normal $30k-$50k.
HEY CHUCK AND PAIGE, THAT WAS FUN. A WALK AROUND THE TOWN TO SEE ALL THE CHANGES IS ALWAYS AN ENJOYABLE ADVENTURE. LIKE THE BUDDHA SAID,” THE ONLY CONSTANT IS CHANGE “. I HOPE TO COME UP YOUR WAY AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR AND IT’S ALWAYS FUN TO SEE THE CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS.
I NOTICED THAT THE RIVER WAS VERY MUDDY BUT I THINK THAT’S TO BE EXPECTED AFTER ALL THE RAIN THIS PART OF THE WORLD HAS HAD THIS YEAR.
YOU NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SOI DOGS. I’VE HAD SOME DEALINGS WITH A FEW. I HAD A PACK COME AFTER ME ONE DAY AND HAD I NOT HAD MY CANE WITH ME I DON’T KNOW THAT I WOULD BE HERE TODAY TO TALK ABOUT IT. I WAS LUCKY TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE WAS THE LEADER AND CATCH HIM IN THE NOSE WITH MY CANE.ONCE HE RAN AWAY THE REST OF THEM FOLLOWED. I GOT LUCKY THAT DAY.
I did not know they had Tourist Police there. Im going to look into doing that in Korat. I think Pattaya would be fun if I was living there. Thanks for the tour of town.
One of the scariest times I have ever had in Thailand was walking home at 2am after a few beers in Baan Chang, no taxis, every house I walked past there was a soi dogs and guard dogs running out to the end of thier chain. I honestly had visions of the film “American werewolf in london” when he gets mauled when they walked off the path.
Thank you for another daily dose of inspiration and motivation Chuck and Paige, having my simple instant chok and coffee for breakfast with a touch of Notime2bsad makes it so much more tastier. Wow, beautiful and huge house, looking forward to your vlog on the house warming ceremony and party. So nice to be able to follow you on a walk around the town, been a while since your last one, nice, peaceful and simple town to live in. Was that Vietnamese breakfast place a new restaurant, can’t recall watching this shop in your past vlog’s? Congratulations again, happy and glad to be in the circle of lucky first timers with you for winning the Thai lottery, I won the same prize when I first got to Phuket early this year. Looking forward to another great vlog, peace, love and cheers, T.F
I had a great walk with you guys through town, great exercise. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, there sure seems to be a lot of them in your neighborhood. Have never bought a lottery ticket in my life, although been stationed in Cali and Mass, and no lottery in Hawaii. You have a great family, and I see your neighbors respect you all. Mahalo for your info.
Hi Paigh and Chuck. Chuck, looks like the cap you are wearing is a Rabbito’s ( South Sydney Rugby League Club), er football. Promise to send a Melbourne Storm supporters cap. Not being biased but Melbourne Storm IS THE BEST FOOTBALL CLUB in the world. Still love you and Paigh and all the vids. Alex and Richard from Tasmania Australia
Love the walks around town and by the river, much the way I would spend my day in a village, congratulations on the lottery and congratulations on all the Patreon members very much deserved. Many blessings to you, Paige and family 🙏🏼
Cheers 🍻

Good morning from 🇦🇺 Hardly ever see you wearing a cap 🧢.. Lottery 💰 👍 🤣🤣
The house looks very nice.
any unrest in your area? Wondering what’s gonna happen with the protests moving more told democratic rule in Thailand?
Really nice to hear Paige talk!!
Thanks Chuck and Paige,
Love the walk around day to day life videos.
🦩🥂🥂really won the lottery or that’s a clickbait?🤓
Lovely place. I could live there for 6 months. Not to many tourists. My kind of place. Like to experience the real Thai culture.
I won the lottery in Thailand a few times. If you are a Farang, give the winning ticket(s) to a Thai friend to save nominal taxes.
Congrats on $120.00 !!!!
That looks like kaffir lime…the leaves smell so good with Thai recipes…
Congratulations on your win 👍🏼,Thanks for showing the neighborhood, I sure like the view of River ,have a great week 🌴✌🏼🌴

We have a Kaffir Lime tree here in Austin, Texas but we have to cover it in the winter. We use the leaves and the fruit for Thai cooking.

my wife is asking if you have a military pension. it was my impression that you served just a short time
One of the ladies in the kitchen is your mother-in-law with Paige. Who is the other lady?

After the women are through with you, you may have enough to put down a 10% deposit on one of those electric scooters.
How far are you from Pak Khat?
Sadly, Issan dogs speak Issan and Lao. Tough to understand their barks 🙂

Chuck you should do free English lessons for the locals, adults or kids. I think you would make a great teacher.
Channel is getting new pleasant energy with Paige talking. What do you say for beautiful or pretty in Thai

Most of the time that I go walking around my wife’s hometown I carry a stick. When the soi dogs bark, I wave it and they stop.
