A little off-subject, but has anyone heard whether the rumour going around is true or not about the Philippine government changing the rules for the BI sometime in 2022. I have read that sometime during 2022 foreigners will not be allowed to get tourist-visa extensions for the long-term. I’d like to learn more if possible. Where I live (been here 7+ years) the level of xenophobia IS ramping up for sure, so perhaps it is the same in the government? I hope not, meaning I hope that the Philippines will not ever become like Thailand.
