Reacting to my FIRST travel video! I SUCKED!

Everyone has to start somewhere, and 4 years ago i made my first attempt of a travel video, which wasn’t the best, but It put me on a path that lead me to where i am today! You have to crawl before you can run, so be patient, work hard and you’ll get to where you desire to be!

    1. Dude you ain’t got any competence, your a f*cking idol. Im dropping out college this semester to start traveling around the world. actually inspired by you. I hope you can answer my questions, it would be incredibly helpful. First, how you used to afford traveling before you made enough money from it? what’s your biggest advice to keep improving content and learning? how do you start making brand deals or approaching companies to start making money? how do you learn more about editing beside YouTube? last, how do you decide where to travel every time you do? thanks for you’re content dude. you have inspired many of us

  1. How do you think about footage, like this clip goes to first then here to there?.
Tell us about your thinking before you take that footage?
And please keep Your tutorial Update.
    Love From Bangladesh πŸ‡§πŸ‡©

  2. Benn!

Do you use the default settings in slog 3 for your picture profile when filming? Ive tried slog 3 but not sure how to get the look you have, thanks benn!

  3. Question to You Brother.
Hey ! BENN. I have been following you since a long time and i have been inspired by your art of travel Video and i just wanted to ask u a question what kind of satisfaction do u get while filming and editing those Montage. AND What sort of question arises on Your Mind when u get to travel and the time when u Pick up Your Camera…Thank you.Hope you will answer This One.

  4. Hola Benn, eres un gran editor. Espero poder llegar a ser un dΓa aunque sea la mitad de bueno de lo que eres tΓΊ. Un saludo desde las islas Canarias. πŸ™‚

  5. how did you learn all tools for create videos with premiere y after effects? school? tutorials in youtube? I need to learn many things and i donΒ΄t know where can i do it. Can you tell me where can i take a good course? Have you thought about taking a course where you explain all the techniques you currently use to make a video and sell it online? Thank you very much in advance.

  6. Where did you learn all your VFX? I’m so curious. And You really need to visit Nepal πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅,. it’s beautiful you’ll absolutely love it. I am so inspired by you. I started to make videos by looking at you and a few others. Would love to film with you if you ever visited Nepal.πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

  7. Greets from Laos! We actually (intentionally) got caught up with the lockdown here in Luang Prabang and are just hanging out here for now! Not much to do either but its cheap and warm lol πŸ™‚ Made a vlog of it (less cinematic than your stuff though) in case you want to relive some memories πŸ˜‰

  8. Hey benn! My question is: what is your game plan when shooting locals and other people, when I have traveled it has been weird to just point and shoot at them even after becoming their freinds first. The people that come out in your videos are so amazing!

  9. Are you still working full time making cabinets? If so, how did balance your time with making videos, editing etc. Second question is are you still working on saving up for a house and all or are you just focused on travelling, making content and doing what you love? I guess I’m asking this since I can relate to what u said earlier about working and just saving up. I work full time in the medical field and sometimes I feel the pressure of just wanting to save up for a house as if there was some imaginary deadline to meet these goals. How did you break away from this mentality? Love your videos and thanks in advance from a new subscriber!

  10. Hey Benn!

Didn’t you think about editing some of your old shots? I mean – as a comparison of what you learned. I know you originally shot the videos probably with some idea, but it would be interesting to put some new ones – crazy transitions and atmosphere into older footage!

I wish you all the best and a lot of strengh in these times!

  11. Huge talent, why are you not capturing Australia, Tasmania has hundreds of waterfalls & hundreds of islands around it, magnificent nature, minimalist population to put in your videos though

  12. I watched this not too long ago and I remember thinking I don’t think some of those drone shots would be legal now! Which is a shame cause they are awesome! Glad you got them when you could!

  13. Hi Ben, I’ve been reading lots about regulation of different countries about using drone/flycam, and are there any restriction or difficulty when you travel?

  14. Gee the videos is equally good and professional. The drones makes a good shots. I don’t know how you would have time to find out if it ok to shoot as there are lots of restrictions and you are carrying your drones in backpackers place. How do you look after it while you jump off into the water.

  15. It’s a story of everyone, most of us will be having weird video when we started and as time passes improvement comes. I think I have improved a lot too πŸ˜†πŸ˜„

  16. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and motivating us to persevere to succeed in making beautiful videos. We look forward to your last video.πŸ™‚πŸ˜‰

  17. Ben tk! I’m from Laos! Glad to you enjoy your time here^^ I’m a big fan of your work! You really inpired me haha. I’ve set a goal to be an awsome filmmaker like you! Hope someday when i travel i will meet you;)

  18. When I see guys like you it really inspires me! Shows that anyone can grow πŸ™‚ I’m at the start of my youtube travel channel, I hope to grow as much as you!!

  19. Hey Benn, my question here- Before I asked you and you said you typically shoot in Slog-3 with your A7iii. Do you ever get times when you go to color grade and you get banding, color blotching, etc? How do you deal with that for travel filmmaking cause it’s not like you get a second take.

  20. Benn my question is:
Is it possible to record all the scenes on a mobile phone like iPhone or Androids ? Because at the start we don’t even have camera ,you know that’s expensive.
    .
Your workis top level bruhh! I really love what you do , and yeah I can’t wait for the video of India because I am an Indian ‘ I know because of covid 19 all off your plans failed, so not expecting too much ,visit India again.πŸ™πŸ™πŸ˜„

    1. Hey Sahil ! Im an amateur myself and yes i started off with my phone. Its a great way to begin mate. In the meantime you can learn a lot good techniques, various transitions, camera angles, motions and story telling.. You get creative with time. You get self taught. The feeling is amazing. Good luck.

  21. Your videos are awesome. They are super creative and tell amazing, engaging stories. I want to be an outdoor photographer/videographer but I don’t know where I can start to get clients. Have tried insta, website, fb, business cards ect. Any tips for getting clients and earning a living?
