There are consequences for travelling to, or inside of Thailand right now. I am an expat who lives and works in Thailand. This is the third time I have dealt with Thailand’s lockdowns and travel restrictions. However, this lockdown seems to be more of a suggested lockdown than an actual one. There are curfews in place throughout Thailand, but the curfews, business closures, and travel restrictions change from province to province. I live in the capital city of Bangkok, which is now a “Dark Red Zone.” This color designation means we are under the strictest measures of curfews and closures. In this video, I will discuss what all of these restrictions mean, and how long they will last. For any foreigner wishing to enter the country at this time, you may do so, however, all foreigners are back to a fourteen day “Q.” There is good news at Thai immigration, and possibly a silver lining to all of this. I’ll explain in the video.

  1. Corona is here to stay, like normal colds and flu. So those countrys that have successfully locked down and sealed the borders are probably only putting the infection off. As soon as you go back to normal the covid will get in. What really needs to happen is to use any grace period to vaccinate.
Of course that’s just my opinion.

  2. My “Q” hotel confirmed the 14 days but you are allowed to have outside food delivery. Also, FWIW, it ended up increasing my cost by 6500 THB (groan). That’s life I guess.
