  1. rob i hope all is well so news for you BIG COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT!
I’m sure this may come as a shock to some of you. Yesterday, I volunteered for the vaccine trials for Covid-19 being held a Duke University Medical Center. The vaccine being tested is the same one that was created in Russia. I received my first shot yesterday at 4:00 pm, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι χoρoshό я чувствую себя немного странно и я думаю ослиные уши истер Эпстиен не убивал себя

  2. That is looking like a ghost town. With all that is happening with this V….. Canada has decided to put up a good neighbor privacy shrub across the border!!!! Lol

  3. Great video as always Rob. Glad you and Simon were able to get together.

While I sympathize with people who are currently stuck over there on the amnesty, from my perspective, extending the state of emergency and continuing the amnesty is really bad news. They are not going to seriously work toward getting the situation back to normal as long as this emergency stuff is going on. For those of us who want to get over there on an O-A or those who want to come over on a regular tourist visa, people need to recognize that this is not going to happen as long as the Thai government is operating on emergency rules.

  4. Speaking to khaosodenglish, Col. Phakkhaphong Saiubon told them that an extension should be officially announced this week and that “those who failed to renew their stay after the September 26 deadline will not be prosecuted”.

But an Immigration spokesman, Chengron Rimpadee, has told Coconuts Bangkok that “only foreign nationals unable to fly home because their home borders remain closed or there are no flights, can be in the kingdom legally”. Those that remain in Thailand “must have acquired letters from their embassy”.

  5. I applied for (and was approved by the Dept of education) an education visa (Thai language course) and went to immigration (Chiang Mai) a couple of weeks ago with a schools rep to get the visa.

The put a paper in my passport (everyone’s passport as there was about 20 of us from the same school) that said something about ‘under consideration’ and told us to come back on the 25th to get our visa stamps.

We went back on the 25th (Friday) and they told us to leave our passports with them and they’re call us when we could come pick them up.

Monday and still no word from immigration (the school did contact immigration and we’re told that when the papers were ready they would call the school and the school should contact us … There were a bunch of students from the same school that went in as a group on Thursday and they to are waiting for immigration to finish processing their visas.)

That’s the direct ‘news’ I have, threat of 2nd hand and/or speculation.

The school told me that immigration told them they were very busy and are behind on their processing. I was told not to worry the visas are already approved and as such our processing was given low priority so they could handle visa applications that were not as obvious to be approved.

Either way I’m not too worried … It’s almost guaranteed that we will get the visa stamp, and if there is an issue any overstay is the ‘fault’ of immigration so if imagine they’d not toss me in jail for overstay.

That said I’m guessing that given the delays it’s probably very likely that the Oct 31 extension is not just a romor!

  6. My long stay visa was up for renewal during the amnesty period. I went ahead and did my normal renewal in a near empty local Immigration office. It took a minimal amount of time, since the office had so few customers, and full staffing. So, bottom line, I ignored being able to procrastinate during the amnesty period and I’m good to go until the next renewal next fall.

  7. I watch a lot of YouTubers in other Country’s and what they have been saying you CAN NOT moving to another Country using a US Passport. So if you don’t get a extention how will you get back to the USA.

  8. Oh Rob, when will this madness end ? I remember that green bridge and the beach when we came to see you last year, seems so decimated now. Heal Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤ 🙏
