1. Indian people are really good in speaking English. Their English accent is the true Accent that people should learn. No wonder They are a superpower Country.

  2. USA has 3 million farm owners to feed their entire population & also export crops globally. Since India has 3x less land than USA, India only needs 1 million farm owners. Currently India has 150 million farm owners. We do not need so many farm owners in India. It is very inefficient. ~
Indian farms are inherited by family members from generation to generation. In each generation, the original plot of land gets subdivided among family members. So the average size of a farm is small in India, around 2.3 hectares. In contrast, U.S. farms are large, around 250 hectares.~
Indian farming is also mostly manual labor intensive. Many farmers still use traditional methods of farming like plowing with bulls. In contrast, U.S. farming is mostly capital intensive with large-scale use of advanced and heavy machinery. The number of manual laborers is very small. Indian farmers are also still heavily dependent on the weather especially monsoon cycles. Thus, even a small change in the amount of rainfall can have disastrous effects for Indian farmers. So they are able to grow only 2 to 3 crops in a year, which is restricted to either rice or potatoes. In contrast, U.S. farmers use advance systems of irrigation so they are able to grow a wide variety of multiple crops for year-round production~
Indian farms are mostly owned by poor families & managed by family members themselves. In contrast, U.S. farms are owned by rich business corporations & managed by specialized manpower.~
As a result, farmlands in the U.S. are more productive & bring back greater returns to the farmer. A comparison between both farms shows that U.S. farmlands have a higher yield per hectare than India’s farmlands. For example, in rice, it is 7.8 tones to Indian’s 3 tones; in corn, it is 8.6 tones to Indian’s 1.8 tones; in peanuts, it is 2.6 tones to Indian’s 1 ton; in soybeans, it is 2.8 tones to Indian’s 1.1 tons; & in cotton, it is 647 Kg to Indian’s 220 Kg. Also, the US cow milk yield is 3x more than the Indian yield.

  3. American farm owners got approximately $22 billion in government subsidies in 2019. That’s the highest level of US farm subsidies in 14 years. India government gave farmer owners $22.5 billion in subsidies, including support for irrigation, fertilizers and electricity, in marketing year 2017-18. ~ As per agricultural census for 2015-16, 99.43% of farm holdings are of low income or resource poor farmers.~
Since India has 3x less land than USA, India government should only give $7 billion in farm subsidies. India government gives way too much subsidies to the farming sector. We do not need so many small farm owners in India. It is very inefficient.

  4. They came together for an important factor but seeing a lot of people being closely together without masks makes me anxious. Hope it does not increase also corona cases and they are safe

  5. I hope the bill passes to be honest but at the same time I don’t want these farmers to be on road protesting so much.
Hope they can come to a conclusion with the govt.

  6. It would be great if you could cover why these farmers are protesting. They would not be protesting in Delhi’s COLDEST WINTER in almost a century if they were happy with this bill. Especially considering the majority are elderly. I mean, for goodness sake, there are elderly women protesting. Yet the media is not even covering this.

  7. This video was well needed, thank you for this. It’s very cold in India and these are old people, in their 60s 70s 80s etc… There are also people of all ages there. Please support them ✊

  8. So for those of you who don’t know what this is about… Basically farmers in india are very poor. They take their crops to a market for it to be sold and whatever isn’t sold the government buys at a lower cost. So that’s their safety net. Modi introduced these laws that said that farmers can go to any market to sell their crops instead of just their normal regular ones and the government won’t buy what isn’t sold. Big corporations are also being pushed into the industry and they will end up buying the crops at a very low rice. So in the end, the farmers make less money.

  9. For context (since wokes love anything and everything that is anti-government anywhere in the world):-

These farmers are protesting against agriculture-related laws that have been in the works for decades, aimed at developing the agri sector and preventing farmers from getting duped by middlemen (watch Mandi short film on YouTube regarding this topic), alongside opening up new opportunities for farmers to sell their produce to whoever they want to. Farmers mostly only from Punjab state are protesting, misguided by politicians and the middlemen because their illegitimate income and control over prices are at risk. Rest of the country’s farmers are fine with the new laws and some farmer unions have even threatened counter-protests if the laws are repealed. So it is now farmers vs farmers vs government.

Just because a few thousand (out of billion+) people are protesting against something, doesn’t automatically mean they protest is against something bad. These farmers are literally begging for them to be allowed to remain poor.

  10. LONG STORY SHORT for foreigners

Govt introduced bills regarding farm that was supposed to Help farmers but it has many loop holes which might end up harming farmers instead.

But right now the govt has already added certain clause to ensure farmers that there wont be any problems but farmers are saying that this should have happened since the beginning w/o the protests. So they arent willing to accept the modified bill because of the mistrust. And they want the bill to be completely removed. Thats why they are protesting.

  11. Its ok to do protest but farmers must become careful because there are some anti social elements who want to use their protest to fullfill their personal motives

  12. For those who do not know. The farmers are protesting against 3 farm Bill’s that have been passed by the parliament in September. Since their voices were not heard, they marched towards the capital Delhi to protest. Now these people have settled on the highways and are protesting there. Most of these farmers are from the states of Punjab and Haryana.

  13. These are my people and they have been slaughtered, poisoned, and framed as terrorists (amongst many other things) by the Indian government. The state of Punjab is known as the land of 5 rivers but is projected to become a desert in the next 20 or so years. The water from the state has been illegally diverted to other states. The vast majority of Punjab’s people are farmers and you cannot farm in a desert. The current protest is to stop the privatization of farming in India. Please spread the word on this. Like and share this video. Thank you

  14. Thank you for covering this Asian Boss. Let’s all wish the farmers of India success in their effort to defend their livelihoods from neoliberal corporate takeovers.

  16. I don’t wanna be rude or come off as ignorant, but what are the robes the men are wearing and what religion/culture does it come from? I just want to be educated 🙂

  17. There have been protests here where i live in Canada in support of the farmers in India. There is a lot of people of Indian descent where i live. Many of them still have a ton of family in India.

  18. Modi’s a monster. He’s worse than Trump. What his movement is doing to the Indian Muslims and the scheduled castes is abhorrent. He is a criminal, going against the Indian constitution. His enablers should be ashamed.

  19. This Protest is motivated by Political parties for their political gain. More than 40 crores Indian population depend on farming…But only 2 thousand were protesting….All belong to a state which is governed by Opposition Leader.

An iss bat par bus driver ko aur bus ke travellers ko kya pareshani hai ?

  21. Protest are fine. But I genuinely wanna know what does this have to do with Khalistan? Why are people bringing politics in a protest? No matter what side you to support at least don’t have the audacity to mar the demands of the country’s most important asset.

  22. such a heartless government. Never seen before; Government on repeat mode unaffected !! Modi says only one thing that farmers are under influence ?? Really ! Do bjp has all the knowledge and everyone else is born naive ; EVERY RISE HAS A FALL! THEY HAVE BECOME GOD

  23. It’s stupid how Canada PM supporting farmers who wants msp forever. Canada is one the countries in WTO who hates india for introducing msp this high in the first place, talk about hypocrisy. And also punjab and haryana farmers are too reliant on msp it’s time they move on and make some money by taking risks

  24. I have a request to Asian Boss team…
Please conduct a street interview on these farmer protests so that the global viewers as well as Indians(who don’t know much on this issue) get a strong information and the right/wrongdoings of these farmers and govt. from it rather from scrolling down the comments… Thanks

  25. It is useless and a planned protest by the opposition please don’t belive and the khalistan protesters are also involved who are the traitors of our nation

  26. I wish people in Lithuania would stop being shut in sobs and protest against internal problems to make their lives better vs only expressing their opinion on some international political gibberish which mostly is criticizing Russia and money going into supporting some bs

  27. हमारे किसान भाइयों को आतंकवादी बोलने वाला और उनको परेशान करने वाला चौकीदार कहता है कि उसे किसानों से बहुत प्यार है…… अब तक देश चौकीदार की असलियत समज गया होगा

  28. I’m basically from Punjab. My family, my villager fellas, and the whole Punjabi Farmers unions including Haryana Farmer Unions and many farmers from other states of India are protesting peacefully at the Roads of New Delhi. Remaining ones at the home are praying for the solutions asap as sitting at roads in such cold weather far away from home for anyone couldn’t be fun. Some of them have sacrificed their lives to this protest, cause of cold, road accidents and as many are olds aged at protest, also many committed suicide at home and in protest as well.
All they want is abolishment of Farm Laws 2020, the Law made in the parliament without any discussion with any farmer union. Government says this law is beneficial for farmers. But farmers are wondering how this privatisation of Mandis, no minimum selling price, no right to claim a case against buyer if they don’t pay for your crops, would help farmers. It will only give power to Corporates to buy crops at low prices, without any worry of being dissed legally, and finally when poor farmers won’t have any option other than selling their lands. Corporates will but farmers lands and then food will be become gold, because now Corporates own Land, own crops, so they’ll decide the price of food in market. It’s not an assumption, the example of Mineral Water bottles are there. Free water of villages is 30₹/bottle in cities. Please support Indian Farmers.🙏

  29. The ex economist of THE WORLD Bank stated that the laws are flawed and will exploit farmers.
So all these people saying these laws are good farmers are uneducated. I think if you’re not a farmers or from punjab, haryana. Please educate yourself

  30. We Indians are with farmers
    NO Farmers ,No food !
Mostly GDP of India is dependent upon agriculture. Thanks Asian boss for showing this .
Our Media has been showing against farmers . What the type of media and Govt. We have .

  31. To all those people saying “Why are they not wearing masks?” The answer is “They are protesting for something which is much more important than Corona”

  32. You know what the problem is .. the government, the common people everyone thinks “Farmers are uneducated and fools”. If they are not given rights of course they will protest! The laws are like forcing someone to take a gift even if they don’t want it

  33. Chowkidar ka IT Cell zoro shoro sae lagae huae Hain….sab…RS 100 per day dihaadi par kaam kartae hai…fir raat ko wahi RS 100 dream 11 Mae team banatae hai…rich bannae Ka sapna dekh Kar…fir raat ko mutt Kae so jaate Hain… hahahaha…

  34. it isn’t even a legitimate protest and correction is needed its not nation wide only one state is against this law as these wealthy farmers won’t be able to make profits sucking poor farmers if the law is legalized they are feared of their losing high profits.

  35. I have been to this place personally for 4-5 times . Farmers from different states of india, especially from punjab and haryana are coming at delhi border and protesting too peacefully . There efforts are great . They are making food , cleaning surroundings , arranging for medicines daily themselves .I support farmer’s protest and wish for their success.

  36. Let them protest , bunch of egoistic people , real farmers support the government and that was visible in village level elections . Majority of them (99%) r just opposition party stooges disguised as farmers . Due to these fools , India is suffering loss of million rupees per day , brainless creatures .

  37. to all the non-Indians: this is on the border of India’s capital city Delhi. Farmers have come from many states with food, tents, gurudwara on-wheel, medical camps, etc. They live in trucks or arrange beds on streets to sleep. They cook their own food on streets in large amount(for everyone in the protest). They have come with the preparation of a 6 months-long protest. This is not “normal” India. This is the “fighting back for rights” India. These farmers are very very determined. God bless them.
edit: scrolling down a lot to find an andhbhakt’s comment? Check the reply under this 🙂

  38. A country is hungry without farmers. A hungry country is unhappy and suffering. May this remind corrupt politicians farmers are the foundation of a country’s success. May you achieve what you deserve, my farmers. Peace & love from Texas

  40. Thanks for showing this.

    धन्यवाद। 감사합니다.
