  1. I thought it was exciting to wake up on April 21 in central Kentucky to an inch or two of snow but yours sounds even more exciting. And six hours later, snow’s all gone.

  2. A gas refinery exploded in the UK years back and my house was miles away and there was enough force from the explosion to rip my windows open.

  3. Not only are you lucky it didn’t pop ( depending on the size, 5KM may not be far enough away to be safe from a shockwave ) but you may want to get out of dodge for a while. There are a lot of potential inhalants that can harm you in refined, benzene being one of the most toxic (its what gives gas its sweet smell). You look downwind from this fire….I’d get out man.

  4. Same as the Philippines. No hydrants in most places so they send a heap of fire trucks and water tankers and hook them all together with their hoses. Sometimes the line of trucks extends a long way. Once they are there its almost impossible to get out so just keep adding water to the line up and pass it on by pumping from one to another.

  5. As a general rule, the darker the smoke, the more volatile the fire is. Grey smoke can indicate that the fire is slowing down. Not full proof but a good indication. Moisture or rain can also make smoke look more grey.

  6. In the last images, the white smoke will be water evaporation mixed with the smoke Danger over. I do hope no one was hurt but likely someone. Stay out of the smoke and wear a mask for the real reasons until it blows over and by the looks of the wind, it won’t take long. Take care Rob GOD Bless you and yours. M

  7. 5 Kilometers? An American using the metric system? OMG!! What’s happening to the World!!
    Just kidding, Rob.
    An interesting video. Stay safe.

Salaam to you and to all.

  8. As a retired fireman from Florida, the things I’ve seen in Thailand are pretty shocking…the firefighters are horribly under trained and equipped…..they are all nice guys with good hearts and dedication, but just in a terrible state.

  9. Being a Firefighter in the U.K. for 30 years in the U.K. sorry to say the fire service is no where near as good as the U.K. or America. But they do what they can with what they have.. Iā€™d be more careful here than normal as you will not get rescued quickly here FIT A SMOKE DETECTOR.
    Be safe Rob.

  10. Your vlogs are amazing man! I’ll be honest I got a little bored of the “meeting ladies” ones but it’s so good to see you reporting on whats going on and how different businesses are doing and stuff like that. I really miss the place and like keeping up to date. Great work šŸ˜šŸ‘

  11. usually with a natural gas fire , you want to control the flames, not put them out until you can shut off the supply valves, if it was a natural gas fire. Looks more like an oil refinery fire, with all the black smoke
