  1. Yeah rod I enjoyed that. Something completely different but yet informative. I guarantee there’s so many more things I would find interesting there

  2. Most people have no idea where their food comes from..be interesting to go out on a fishing boat..as world populations grow, there is more competition on the oceans and seas, like the cod in the Newfoundland banks were fished out..and now Chinese fishing boats and factory ships are encroaching on other countries water even chasing Filipino fisherman away in the South China Sea..hope there’s enough for everybody..thanks for the vid πŸ™πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»βœŒπŸ»πŸ•Š Happy Christmas πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

  3. Rod the new Pasil Fish Port is being constructed that’s why they moved there temporarily. The new facility is much better. They’re also doing the same thing for the Carbon Market. I hope the vendors don’t get marginalized when these fancy new markets are finished.

  4. I always like how you venture into the less accessible areas. When you’re in the company of the yellow & orange shirts you just don’t feel like a number.

  5. Very interesting indeed. They sure do it differently there. Not the truck to ramp, pallet, crate system that I was expecting. The poor cervical vertebrae of the carriers.

  6. Imagine carrying that fish on your head and getting free ice water fish shower in the process, that must be a one stinky job πŸ˜‚
That’s a really good find Rod, now I know where to get fresh fish when I’m back in Cebu. Those looks like really good quality fishes, I wish you ask the prices for all of them, I’m trying to compare them to prices vs carbon market and shopping mall prices. Btw I know of 2 foreign vlogger that sells their fishes to these vendors, you might even know 1 of them. its kinda interesting watching those guys fish farming in the Philippines and taking you along the process from beginning to end.

  7. Interesting video Rod, those unplanned trips are often an enjoyable surprise. I always enjoy it when I surprise myself by having a different day to what I expected.

  8. I saw an auction like that in Hinigaran. Its different than I was used to because instead of one auction it’s broken up into many mini auctions. It’s very fast as well.

  9. It’s good to see sites, events, and culture off the beaten path. My wife, mother & father in law went to the Pasil fish market when we were in Cebu this past January 2020. It was very dirty there but had some of the best seafood you could find anywhere. Keep up the good work sharing the Cebu culture with the rest of the world. I retire to Cebu in June 2022. Can’t wait!

  10. awsome , something that not many foreigners will ever see, you like to get into the less traveled areas. I am the same, but wife doesn’t let me for some reason, lol.

  11. The guys with the fluro shirts could be a rugby team, LOL. I saw your explanation further down the page Rod. Makes sense, the employer knows who he is paying.

  12. Have you managed to run across a fish farm harvesting? That could be an interesting video. I’ll have to ask Cindy’s brother if he knows one here.

  13. I guess you are out of luck if you don’t like fish. Where is the big chicken nugget market? 😁 I do think the random sleeping guy sprawled around is pretty funny.

  14. in my opinion your greatest work to date i am trying to buy at wholesale for drying salting and smoking in case i lose my income as well as providing my wife family members a hand up not a hand out i notice you have a companion filipina with you perhaps send her in first alone for info and have her ask permission to do the taping many people have reasons not to be on film
