I am a retired sixth grade teacher from California who is presently living in the Philippines with my wife and two dogs. These videos aim to be entertaining, inspiring and motivating for people who are tired of the rat race and want to live a simple, yet rewarding life. My passions are studying and learning languages and helping people in any way I can.

  2. Haha, you could also try and securely tie the upper portion of the cellophane and then make a small hole at the bottom portion, sip the contents from there. A little messy maybe but you’ll get the buko strips that way😁. Enjoy lang sa life sir. Best regards – new subscriber

  3. Thanks bud love these kind of videos it shows the true hearts of the PI people and you and Paul made my sides hurt love ya brother keep up the great videos!

  4. Jeepney, Jitney… “two birds with one stone!” (Can’t say that anymore in the U.S. unless you want PETA on your case!)

  5. Bud, crossing the busy street back to Rusco could be an Olympic sport. 😁 Look both ways rapidly twenty times then plunge!
I’ve always wondered the background on the terms jitney and jeepney. I suspect the latter is simply a corruption of the former based on the original modifications but perhaps you know. Likewise I’ve noticed you refer to your vehicle as a β€œtuck tuck”. In Thailand they’re called β€œtook took”. Again, curious on the variations.

  6. Hey that’s the Finish Line restaurant Bud! Our last meal in Dumaguete was there with the wooden pirate. Does the woman still hang by a rope at the entrance? Wow! Thats like the real world Frogger video game crossing the highway Bud! You live a fast life there Bud Brown. Thumbs up!
