  1. HEY ROB, I GOT HERE FEBRUARY 28TH 2020 AND THEY LOCKED DOWN EVERYTHING 2 WEEKS LATER. I KNOW PEOPLE THAT OWN OWN APARTMENT BUILDINGS IN KORAT THAILAND LET PEOPLE STAY IN THEIR APARTMENT FREE AS LONG AS THEY BUY FOOD FROM THEM. THEY WILL MAKE A BIG POT OF SOUP AND A LOT OF RICE AND CHARGE THEM 20 OR 30 BAHT FOR A BOWL OF RICE AND A BOWL OF SOUP. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED.

A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT DIDN’T DO THAT EVERYONE MOVED OUT. THERE’S A APARTMENT BUILDING WITH 5 FLOORS AND TWENTY ROOMS ON EACH FLOOR AND IT WAS FULL AT 7,000 BAHT PER ROOM. SO THEY WERE TAKING IN AROUND 700,000 BAHT AND EVERYONE LEFT EXCEPT ONE AMERICAN. THE GUY WAS A TIGHTWAD AND IT BIT HIM IN THE BUTT. GREED WILL DO THAT TO YOU..

STAY SAFE MY FRIEND. HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON.

  2. Hello Rob I feel bad for the business owners who could not survive the shutdown but I when things get better some can return.Wishing everyone there well Take Care Sir

  3. We will all get past this Thanks for staying positive that helps everyone even hear in Canada Be kind and help when you can People can learn a lot from the beautiful people of Thailand ♥️

  4. Some landlords are looking for the whole loaf of bread instead of helping others out and living on a half loaf of bread. Having tenants leave because because the landlord won’t cut them some slack only hurts both parties involved. Boomer is gonna be waiting a long time for that check, I haven’t seen mine, yet. 30 years in Thailand, wow, good for him living in paradise for such a long time. I’m sure it has not been all rainbows and unicorns, but still. Good stuff!

  5. It sucks that covid hit and affected so many people and businesses!!! Foreigners came to invest in business and suffered as well!!! Thailand is slowly but surely on the road to recovery and hopefully all that have come to do business there will prosper once again😎✌️

  6. No one new that it was coming and that it was going to even last as long as it has, but that is how life is, very unpredictable a lot of ups and downs just like the stock market 📈 📉, but eventually everything goes positive

  7. Rob. Buddy you always make my day. I’m in Toronto Canada. Sucks here too my friend. Peace & cheers 🇨🇦. I’m having a beer 🍺. Join me

  8. Sucks when you get to that point where you want to close down because your to tired to continue. But it is even harder and makes you more tired just thinking about the possibility or inevitability of reopening and starting over.. hard fence to jump no matter how you approach it… stick in there rob… it’s getting better and it’s about to BREAK WIDE open real soon… stay safe…

  9. What? Westerners can’t get help from their families in hard times? 20 and 30 somethings all over America are now living in their parents basement lol.

  10. Talk visas visas visas. Thats what everyone wants to do. How to get the paperwork in order. Shortcuts etc. You seldom talk about them. Please do. Dont have to tell us what visa you are on etcetera. Would you? Please?

  11. Not understanding the landlord’s ‘mentality’ of not cutting the rent??”, let me explain to you the ‘mentality of ‘Why,’ if you don’t mind. Landlords also have bills to pay who make a living from the rent they collect. Landlords (owners) owe for the property they rent out; landlords PAY for the maintenance and the fixtures, mowing the lawn, trimming the bushes, sweeping the premises, paying property taxes, paying monthly garbage disposal collection, all of which HAVE to be done by law either way.

You should also ask, why don’t maintenance workers just work for free?, why don’t water suppliers just provide water for free, why don’t doctors just provide free heart transplants for all, why doesn’t god make it stop snowing during a pandemic so we won’t have to shovel. Why don’t 7/11’s across Thailand won’t just giveaway food for free, I’m saying all this not because I call myself an expert at this topic, but I am a landlord, I do rent out multiple properties. That’s our mentality.

  12. I miss yr vlogs oready man. I watch em to see you. in Tailand and not for Tailand per say. okay? cant send oney rite now coz of probems of my own. someaill repay my det of gratitood t u. keep em comin m
anne. i ow tie ms r har rite naow. ba we can beed the drum outa em.

  13. Farangs tend to sell off all their assets in their home country when they move to Thailand but if they don’t, they don’t want to move back there anyway and often can’t because of rental agreements etc..
Thais rarely sell their home when they move for business, so they have something to go back to. On top of this they often (but not always) have some type of smallholding which is tended to by family whist they are away, so they have something to do when they go back.
For the few that didn’t have a home or sold their home, they can usually move in with family, which is a much more normal thing to do than it is in ‘western’ countries.
