  1. Nice video. Maybe I’ll try Highway 10 next time I’m in the Philippines. I usually eat at Mang Inasal’s because besides the great food they also have wash basins somewhere in the dining area for washing hands for customers who like to eat with their hands and not with spoon or fork.

    1. The food at Hwy 10 is good. although the soup is more like a clear chicken broth.  Can’t argue with the price and while I like Mang Inasal, the one here always has a long, long line.

  2. Wow. It’s the first time that I’ve heard of that chain. Is the chicken there better than Mang Inasal’s?

You really need a gorillapod or some flexible tripod of sorts. LOL.

  3. I literally could not sit there on my own talking into a camera with locals sitting all around me .. watching me lol, how do you do it ? You’ve got balls !!

  4. So agree on the great foods there at great prices. every time I visit even for only a few weeks I end up with pants that are too loose because I lost 10 – 15 pounds just from eating the better foods and in that kind of heat I just don’t get hungry as often

I found it so weird figuring out that people use a spoon like a fork and a fork like some kinda pull knife when they eat there. no where seemed to have knives lol

  5. Hi! Me and my wife love watching all your videos. Are you able to fix the setting on the cam? Take off the bubble -I setting and just set it to a standard setting . Thank.

  6. Henry , Do you find after about a month there after leaving the US that you just feel better eating the foods from there ? Gee wonder why ? lol  Thanks for the vid. Aloha

  7. On my last trip to Philippines i really enjoyed Andok’s chicken which was 239 pesos  for a whole roasted chicken if i remember correctly. Thanks for your videos i can’t wait to go back!

    1. We have a Chook’s To Go and also Senor Pedro.  Roasted chickens are a little smaller, but very tasty at 160p.  On Mactan I could get one sometimes for 120p near the Grand Mall.

  8. Hi Henry, Alan here.  Been following your videos for awhile now and I have to say that you have been pretty spot on with your observations. I have been to the Phils 8 times now and love it every time.  I am from So. Cal.(Orangge County) also. And very much considering retiring there. Especially in the Visayas area. Love Mactan, Bihol and Cebu. I have not been Dumaguete yet though. I am feeling the need to make another trip there, my next adventure will probably be Surigao, do you have any plans of going there ?

  9. Because of your popularity in Dumaguete, you may end up as a barangay captain, mayor or congressman. Filipinos love a different kind of breed and tired of traditional politician. Anyway, you always give us amazing videos. Thanks for sharing and enjoy there!
